With Many Happy Returns Chatterbox cards you can have more connected conversations
Many Happy Returns Chatterbox cards are perfect for instant connection and conversation with older people.
Connecting and sharing across the generations can be fun, even if it can be more challenging if the older person is living with dementia, even though they are the experts! When we know more about the person’s life as a younger person, it enriches our understanding of them now. We believe that the better we know a person, the more aligned our care for them can be.
We invited 160 people aged 65 to 99 years old to describe their happy, early years memories. Their recollections became two sets of Many Happy Returns Chatterbox flash cards, featuring everyday life in the 1940s and 1950s with reminiscence triggers and prompts to inspire instant, enjoyable conversations.
Inside each box, you’ll find 26 large-size picture cards with wide-ranging background information and conversational triggers that prompt instant real-story sharing and fun conversations with anyone recalling their youth, creating togetherness and reconnection.
The cards relate to DoE National Curriculum History Key Stage 3 study programme, so they’re great for young teenagers too.
